will not play tennis until it is time for the Wimbledon tournament.

She will not be back in the tennis courts until  it is time for Wimbledon after the WTA world No. 1 pulled out from Berlin to prioritize her health for the grass-court major. She have said on social media that; , 

“Due to a recurrent discomfort I am feeling in my shoulder, unfortunately I need to withdraw from the bett1open in Berlin. I'm sorry I will not be able to play there.
“I will focus on recovery and rest in order to be ready for Wimbledon.”

Shapovalov did it again...

 Denis Shapovalov from  Canada beat American Taylor Fritz 7-5, 6-4 on Friday at the Delray Beach Open to earn his second semifinal berth of his career.

The 18-year-old Shapovalov onlye lost  five points on his first serve and was never broken. Its not yet decided whoi will be Shapovalovs opponent at saturdays matchbecause the late match Friday between No. 8-seeded Chung Hyeon of South Korea and American wild-card Frances Tiafoe was suspended because of rain. That match will be played on Saturday.

The second semifinal will match American Steve Johnson against Peter Gojowczyk of Germany. Johnson advanced by beating Evgeny Donsoy of Russia 6-1, 6-4, and Gojowczyk defeated American Reilly Opelka with the score 7-6 (5), 6-3.

Nadal injured, participation in Atp finals in jeopardy

Nadal injured.

The worlds NO1 tennis  player Nadal have injured  one of his knees. 

This made him pull out of the  Paris masters.

This according to .espn.com.

Because of this his participation in the atp finals are in doubt.

He has not yet answered if he will partcioate in theATP finals in London,wgichich takes place on November 12.

Caroline Garcia says her injury made her a better competitor

Caroline Garcia says that her back injury has made her a better tennis player
 and competitor. Garcia won  the title at  Wuhan in the very first Premier 5 final
 of her career. She also reached the second week at Wimbledon and the French Open earlier this year.

Garcia is now ranked at the NO 20position in the world 
but she will propably climb the rankings very soon.

Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert staked France to a 2-1 lead in the Davis Cup semifinal facing Serbia.   Apart from some setbacks in the third set when the Serb pair won four games in a row, the frenchmen Mahut and Herbert were in control on the indoor clay court. 

John Peers and Jordan Thompson of Australia won against Arthur de Greef and Ruben Bemelmans of Belgium and the score was; 6-3, 6-4, 6-0.

Sharapova eager to enter US Open

Maria Sharapova is eager to return to the US Open.

Sharapova will face  the No. 2 seed Simona Halep in the first round of the U.S. Open, Sharapova means thats her experience couldbenefit her  despite her lack of match play recently..

harapova used to be the NO 1 female tennis player in the world. Sharapova admits to not being able to be that good prepared because of injuries. She hsays she has been in this situation before in tournaments and feels she must handle it this time as well.
